My Story

My Vision

I've had opportunity to work with some of the most glamorous women in the world. They have taught me that beauty and fashion are available to everyone. All you require is a trusted, dedicated stylist, who listens and knows what you need before you do. My vision is to be that hair artist, just for you.

Having founded and built to success a multi-cultural and award winning full service hair salon, I wanted to explore a more intimate setting where each individual client could be the center of my attention. Everyone deserves to be the focal point when ther're in a stylist's chair. Welcome to my new studio, where it's all about you.

David Blackstock, founder of the award winning Salon Six 9, introduces his newest salon, Blackstock Studio. Centrally located exclusively at Phenix Salons in the Village at Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, TX, Blackstock Studio is the premier destination for one-on-one styling consultation and services.

As Fort Worth’s most talented and multifaceted stylist and consultant, David celebrates his third decade in the celebrity style genre. In addition to his significant local and regional clientele, David is also personal stylist to Hollywood legends Ruta Lee and Mamie Van Doren. David enjoys, as well, the privilege of being best friend and confidant to the alluring and ever glamorous Gennifer Flowers.

David’s career is deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, having worked on numerous regional and national theatre productions, as well as the Broadway production of Boobs: The Musical (with Gennifer Flowers). Additionally, David’s styling has been seen on television programming such as Talk of The Town (Los Angeles), CNN’s Larry King Live, NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s Politically Incorrect, CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigators, celebrity news media The Insider, the Biography Channel, and Showtime's La La Land.

David has also worked with celebrity clients such as Academy Award nominee June Squibb, America's sweetheart, Debbie Reynolds, American television personality and comedian, Joan Rivers, Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner, Carol Channing, and his longtime friend, and Golden Globe winner, Ruth Buzzi.

Additional celebrity styling by David includes Sally Struthers, Kenna McInroe (Office Space, CSI: Crime Scene Investigators, Cupcake), Tara Radcliffe (Stepford Wives, Law and Order), Margaret Colin (Independence Day), and Annabeth Gish (Mystic Pizza, Shag).
